HEY, IT’S LO

Welcome to my (relatively unfiltered) corner of the internet. I saw a (new favorite) quote recently that said “just start.” There really is no perfect time to do anything. No matter what it is, if you wait until you feel “ready,” you’ll never do it.

It might sound like an obvious principle, but often the hardest step is the first one. Once something is in motion, it’s easier to keep it rolling, but the transition from stationary to moving is one that usually requires conscious effort. This truly applies to everything in life, whether it’s a giant step or a tiny one.

Starting a website/blog is an idea I’ve been toying with for several years now, but the task always seemed daunting and unfamiliar. I had zero experience building websites, could never seem to get it right when I tried and had no idea where to “properly” start. I couldn’t tell you how many times I thought “okay this is the time I build it and do it right” before spending maybe an hour trying to set up a site, failing to immediately create what I envisioned, and giving up before inevitably repeating the process a few months later. I’d tell myself it wasn’t the right time to launch a site or I needed a clearer vision for what I wanted it to turn into long term. The truth of the matter is those were just excuses I used to try and justify why I stopped forging ahead when I hit a roadblock.

I’ll be honest, I have absolutely no idea where this website is going to go. It might turn into a place for me to share my favorite photos. A place where I share recipes or books or travel recommendations. A place where I compile countless blurbs of writing covering whatever is on my mind when I sit in front of my computer on any given day. Or maybe it will be a combination of all of the above. Despite these unknowns, there is one thing I am sure of – this site will change paths and grow over the years, as I do too.

Welcome to the start of a new adventure & I hope you’ll stick around to see where it goes.
